another wreath and pillows!!

I had some free time this past week so I made one wreath and two pillows. First is the wreath, I used a fall theme for this one. The supplies I used were, yarn, 3 fake flowers, glue, and a wreath. I love the way this wreath turned out! Next day I'm free I will make a halloween wreath with yarn!

Next up are the pillows. Not just normal pillows, but Vera Bradley pillows! I have never made a pillow case that could be removed. I decided to just go for it, no pattern, no info on how to do it. I love them soooo much!

Lately I have been making a bunch a different wreaths. It has become a fun new hobby. Some can take as long as 8 hours while others take 3 hours. No matter how long they take I still love them.

Up first are the Ribbon Wreaths. This wreaths can cost up to $50, depending if the ribbon is on sale or not.

Next up is a yarn wreath. I've done two but this one if my favorite. This wreath cost about $20 to make.

Next is a random grapevine wreath. This is the only one that I have done. This wreath cost around $12 to make.

Easy and Fun Easter decorations for the whole family

I thought I would post some of my favorite and easy Easter decorations. First up is a cute little bunny and some eggs.

To make these fun little bunnies all you need is some fun colored paper, cotton balls, glue stick, hole punch, and ribbon.

1. Draw a fun bunny shape and cut it out of any paper (if you aren't comfortable drawing one just google a bunny template and print it out)

2. Now you can skip this step if you want, but I chose to laminate my bunnies so they would last longer.

3. Glue on some cotton balls for their tails. I just used a regular glue stick.

4. Now punch a hole at the top and thread some ribbon through the hole.

5. Hang anywhere that you want. I chose to hang one bunny then an egg.

Congrats, You're done. Now just repeat the steps to make more bunnies.

Next Project: Easter Tree

This one is super easy, and I bet most of you have one. All you need is a tree limb, spray paint, eggs, bunnies or chickens, a cute spring flower pot, and ribbon.

1. Spray paint your tree limb, I chose to spray it white.

2. Place tree limb in your cute flower pot, I used mulch and rocks to hold it in place.

3. Thread eggs and chickens or bunnies with ribbon

4. Hang everything on your tree, I added a bunny in front of my tree, because I only hung chickens up.

Congrats! You're all done!

Ribbon Wreath

Wow! It's been a really long time since my last post, so I thought I would start with something fun. This past week I worked on a ribbon wreath for spring/ summer. From start to finish it took around 4 or 5 hours and around $55. I know it's not cheap, but I really enjoyed this project!

Supply List
- 9 different ribbons, each one 5 yards long
- 2 rolls of ribbon to cover your wreath(same ribbon)
- 1 ribbon to hang wreath with
- 12 inch foam wreath
- Hot glue gun

First thing you need are 9 different ribbons each one being 5 yards long. Cut each ribbon to 4 1/2 inches. You will use all 5 yards of each ribbon!

Next hot glue each ribbon to form a loop. Repeat for what feels like forever!!!!

Then wrap your wreath with your 2 rolls of ribbon(same ribbon) and attach other ribbon to hang wreath with.

Now start placing your looped ribbons all over the wreath by using your hot glue gun.

I know that it sounds easy, and it is, but it will take some time!!

Christmas treat bag tags

Last Saturday I went to a craft fair with two of my co workers and we had a blast. They had a ton of Christmas stuff and some amazing jewelry. At the show one of my co workers saw a bag of homemade gift tags. They were cute, but kinda pricey, 8 for $8. Anyways, we talked about it for awhile and decided that I would just make them some and charge them a lot less. I think that they turned out pretty cute. All it took was my slice machine, stamps, ribbon, and scrap paper. For 25 tags it took me about 2 hours! Enjoy!

Kitchen Decor

For our first project I have picked a fun and cute one. Here is the finished look.

Now I can't take full credit for this one. I saw this project online and decided to change it a little and make it my own. Here is the list of supplies you will need. Followed by instructions.

Slice die cutting machine (*Don't have a slice, scroll down for a surprise*)
Bon Appetit design card
Different colors of card stock
Ribbon
3 Frames (5x7)
Your favorite adhesive

Cut out apple, pepper, and lemon to 3 1/2 inches
Cut out shadows for apple, pepper, and lemon to 3 1/2 inches
Use your adhesive to attach each shape to its shadow
Now cut out the words, favorite, kitchen, and ingredients to 3 1/2 inches
Take any paper of your choice and cut it to 5x7
Now attach shape and word to each page
Use your adhesive to attach some ribbon on the bottom
Put glass back on top and your done!

New Blog- New me

I'm pretty sure that the title of this post pretty much explains where this is headed. Let's start with new blog. I have decided that instead of just ranting about what goes on in my life, I will have a blog about one of my passions. Crafts! We all know how much I love working on crafty projects and now you will be able to make them too. I will be posting different projects, daily or weekly, with directions, supplies, and pictures! I hope that this will turn out to be a lot of fun for everyone. Now next part of the title, New me. So much has changed in the past six months and I am happy with everything. I went from being a stay at home wife, to opening my online shop, and now working for the company of my dreams, Vera Bradley. I've learned that you don't need a lot of money or a lot of friends to be happy. You just need a passion and at least one supporter. As for a supporter, Sean has been a blessing to me and my life. He supports me with every decision that I have ever made, and for that I want to thank him! I also want to thank my family for always being there. To me nothing is more important than family.

Alright I'm done with the ranting, now time for some projects!!!
